1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

• You provide: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number, order details, contact-form messages, newsletter signup, and any other information you submit.
• Payments: payment card and billing data are collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. We may receive limited payment metadata (e.g., last four digits, payment status, Stripe identifiers).
• Automatic / technical: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, and similar usage data. Cart contents may be stored in your browser (localStorage).
• Analytics: we may use analytics tools (including Google Analytics) that set cookies or similar technologies to measure site performance and traffic.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Process, fulfill, and support orders, shipping, returns, and warranties
• Communicate about orders, products, availability, and service issues
• Operate, secure, debug, and improve the site and our systems
• Send Field Notes and other marketing where permitted (you may unsubscribe at any time)
• Detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
• Comply with law, enforce our rights, and respond to lawful requests

We may create aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you and use or disclose it for any lawful purpose.

• Service providers that perform services for us (payment processing, hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, logistics / 3PL fulfillment, and similar vendors), under obligations appropriate to the service
• Professional advisors (legal, accounting, insurance) as needed
• Authorities and others when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect rights, safety, or property, or to investigate fraud or security issues
• Business transferees in connection with a corporate transaction; your information may be among the transferred assets

Third parties process data under their own policies when you interact with them directly (e.g., Stripe Checkout). We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our providers use cookies, localStorage, pixels, and similar technologies for cart functionality, security, analytics, and site performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may break checkout or other features. Where required by law, we will present additional consent mechanisms.

5. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type (e.g., order records are typically kept longer than ephemeral analytics events). When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with our practices.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure. You transmit information at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for unauthorized access, interception, alteration, or loss of data beyond our reasonable control.

7. International Users

We operate primarily for customers in the United States (shipping currently focused on US). If you access the site from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete certain personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link or contact us)
• Appeal a denied privacy request where applicable law requires an appeal

California and certain other U.S. state laws may provide additional rights regarding "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. If we engage in practices that qualify as "sharing" or targeted advertising under applicable law, we will honor valid opt-out requests as required.

We may verify your identity before acting and may decline or limit requests that are excessive, unfounded, or not required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights available under applicable privacy law.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Material changes take effect when posted, or later if we state a later effective date. Your continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy. Where notice is required by law, we will provide it in a manner we reasonably determine (e.g., site notice or email).
